Kristina Simmons, CPA, MST, is a senior manager at Fitzpatrick, Leary & Szarko, LLC in the tax department. She has years of experience working with businesses,  individuals and families regarding developing and implementing tax strategies, tax compliance and planning needs. Kristina also has significant experience in estate and trust work, with responsibilities including assisting fiduciaries with tax compliance as well as trust accounting and estate administration. In addition to tax work, Kristina has many years of experience working with clients regarding their finances as they relate to their retirement, education, and estate planning needs.

Kristina holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Stevenson University and received a Master’s degree in Taxation from the University of Baltimore. She is also an active  member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
